MELBOURNE, FLA. — Florida Tech is offering special assistance to students displaced by the closure of ITT Technical Institute, including taking steps to make the transition easier for qualified students wishing to transfer.
“ITT Tech students who find themselves looking for a new university have many options, and we believe the Florida Tech option is well worth considering,” said Florida Tech President T. Dwayne McCay.
Florida Tech is working to allow for the transfer of ITT Tech credits, as well as offering expedited admissions review and course credit evaluation. ITT students may additionally qualify for a 10% tuition reduction for online classes at Florida Tech, a regionally accredited university that is consistently ranked a Tier 1 Best National University by U.S. News & World Report.
The university’s 100% online learning program is one option for ITT students to consider, allowing for virtual attendance wherever they may reside. Florida Tech’s extended studies sites around the country are also a possibility for students who wish to continue in a traditional classroom setting.
Associate’s and bachelor’s degree programs in a range of in-demand fields may be appealing, including business administration, management, criminal justice, computer information systems, liberal arts and applied psychology.
“We stand ready to assist qualified students who are serious about continuing their education at a Tier 1 university,” McCay said.
